Thanks to the folks at BCI/Ronin Entertainment and August Ragone (who is a consultant on both projects! 18/05: The Office Season Finale

Currently NBC's The Office is the only TV series I'm really watching with any degree of regularity. It's a fun little show that captures a lot of what makes office cultures/environments so surreal at times.

Last night's season finale was great on a lot of fronts, but also left a lot of holes that will need to be explained. Wonder if NBC will do anything throughout the summer to keep the show alive until the new episodes hit in the fall time? It'll be hard to wait 3 months to find out what happens next!

Well at least for now NBC is posting some cool deleted scenes on their site.

18/05: Anime Syracuse Event#3! June 30th!

We just announced here in town that we'll be hosting event #3 in our Anime Syracuse con series. The show will be held at the Palace Theater on June 30th and we're really excited to about the show.

This year's event will feature anime screenings, a dealer room and an artists' alley.

I'm currently working on the programming and hope to be able to announce more specifics on that front soon! Should be lots of fun though!

04/05: Mario Loses it!

This is great!

25/04: New Tokusatsu Hero DVD's - Carranger and Machine Man!

It's been a while coming but finally the Super Sentai TV series DVD release of the century is coming...Carranger! and along with that we get a bonus release, the often goofy and always fun Machine Man!

I've been waiting for Carranger to come out on DVD for a while now and I'm really excited that it's only a couple of months from becoming a reality! Hopefully I'll be able to get some funds together for that release! Now...if only it came with some bonus material!

25/04: Optimash Prime!

I just uploaded the upcoming Optimash Prime Mr. Potato toy figure to the Flying Turtle Toys website. When I first saw this I thought it was the neatest thing! Can't wait for it to be officially available state-side!

25/04: Florida Vacation

Last week and the week before I was vacationing somewhere between Sarasota and Venice, FL, in a world where money seems more abundant than in most places as expensive cars and condos dominate the visual landscape.

It was my first time visiting this side of the state and it actually made for a nice vacation away from the cold weather of Syracuse. I think that it helped that the weather was absolutely fantastic for the majority of the time.

While in FL I thought it be fun to check out the local comic/anime scene, but I was absolutely dissapointed at the grumpy people I ran into at some of these places. Yikes! Of the 3 stores I hit only 1 had normal friendly people, the others were something that lived up more to something like the comic book store in the Simpsons TV series, complete with Comic book guy-like people.

Other than that probably what I enjoyed most was hitting the local dining circuit, as there were many more choices for food and ice cream treats down there than we have here.

29/03: Enter the World of Chiropractors!

Yesterday marked my second visit to the chiropractor and my first adjustment. It went smoothly and was somewhat uneventful, but overall satisfying. Probably the strangest thing was that the doctor looked up my e-mail address domain, which he asked me about when I came in. "So what is this Japan Hero website about" he asked, catching me way off guard! Not something I normally talk to everyday people.

Outside of that though the most attention grabbing side of it is how much time the doctor and his staff spent in those first couple of visits to convince me that the whole deal is not what people in the past painted it as and that there are some true benefits to what they do.

As of now I'm yet to experience any real improvements to my physical condition, but I hope that over the month I do see some more tangible results that I can report on.
