Ninja Sentai Kakuranger All Song
Kage

Introduction

A word from the reviewer: I love Kakuranger. Definitely the best of the 90s in my opinion. Again, I won't let this get in the way of my review.

Ninja Sentai Kaku Ranger

This is the Complete Song Collection for Kakuranger. All twelve of the original songs in the order that they were released, and plenty of bonus material! Unreleased and rare versions of the original songs. Definitely much cooler than the traditional Karaokes. The CD itself is full of action. And to boot, only one bad song! Really one of my favourite CDs of all time. I give this a 5 out of 5 Drawn Changers to keep in the Kakuranger spirit.

01. Secret Kaku Ranger

>>Series opening song. Really a catchy tune, with a mix of traditional instruments. It's really a great song, as long as you don't constantly listen to it. Then it really gets tired fast. Quite fitting for the the opening video scene. Can also be used for action.

02. Kiai Haku Hatsu! Kakuranger

>>Yes! What a fantastic way to start off this CD! Very catchy. Holds a great melody throughout. Houses alot of energy through the horns and back up singers. I especially love the group chanting of "Super Hengen,
Drawn Changer!" even though it sounds nothing like the cast. Excellent song all around.

03. Into Danger Kaku Ranger

>>This is THE action song for the series. Very upbeat throughout. Has a great sense of urgency. Takayuki Miyauchi did a great job changing his tone for various parts of the song. If you don't believe that this is a great action song, watch episode 17 of this series. Hopefully that will change your mind, even though they only play an instrumental.

04. Tsuruhime! Tsuyo sa wa Me ni mo Utsukushii

>>Sweet little song. Reminds me somewhat of Liveman's "Spark! Umi e" for the emotionless parts of the song. Then all of the sudden, it gets more exciting. Maybe a little too deep for Tsuruhime's character, but that doesn't stop this from being a great song.

05. Hissatsu Fighter Crash!

>>There is no other way to describe this song than bizarre. From the strange singing, to the constant "Shu, shu, shu" in the background. This is the song for the Jusho Fighter and their finishing move. The bass part at the middle of the song is pretty cool. Otherwise, nothing really stands out. I enjoy this song, not all the time, but I really do like it overall.

06. Hashire! Nekomaru

>>This song...to put it nicely...is horrible. TOO upbeat. TOO chipper. Do they even really need a song for their funky mobile transport? Well, this song really brings this CD's value down. Still, just skip over it.

07. Hoshi yo Nijimuna!

>>This is the series slow song. Very sad. Good track placement on the CD. Ultimately, this song reminds me of a cool summer night before dawn or after dusk. Too put it simply...I love this song!

08. Kuro no Kikoushi

>>The only song for evil on this CD. This is Gasha's song. Very heavy metal from the start. Very evil sounding. Excellent effect on this CD. Also is placed very nicely after "Hoshi yo Nijimuna!". As if Gasha just killed someone and is throwing a Yokai party. Actually, that DID happen during the series. Very evil song.

09. Ninja de Ikou! Deden no Den

>>This song is alot of fun. Upbeat and triumphant. Great for a battle where Kakuranger has the upperhand. Good track placement. Takayuki Miyauchi is again really great at changing tones. If it was flat out same throughout the whole song, it would've been so much less.

10. Ninja! Materou Kids

>>Series Ending song. Not really too fond of it because of the singing. I really do like the music though. Thats why an instrumental version of this song from the first BGM collection comes in handy.

11. Deta zo! Kakure Daishogun

>>Very serious and dark from the start, just like the Chou Ninju story goes. Then it explodes! Lots of action. A great turn around from it's dreary start. I especially like when Kageyama says "Deta zo!!". It's really a treat when a singer gets into the song they're singing.

12. Muteki Shogun, Tadaima Sanjou!

>>This song isn't as great as Muteki Shogun himself. The song has a triumphant tone, as if Muteki Shogun was as invincible as his name implies. I really do like the song bridge, but really nothing more.

13. Secret Kakuranger (Karaoke)

14. Ninja! Materou Kids (Karaoke)

15. Kiai Haku Hatsu! Kakuranger (Serifunaji Version)

>>Really not much different than the original version. It's done completely without the background singers, which is a bad thing. This version almost seems empty without them.

16. Tsuruhime! Tsuyo sa wa Me ni mo Utsukushii (Karaoke Short Version)

17. Hoshi yo Nijimuna! (Vocal Betsu Version)

>>Same as the original version. The only difference is that there is a dual voice at some points. Really no difference at all. Therefore it's hard to judge which one is better.

18. Deta zo! Kakure Daishogun (One Chorus)

19. Muteki Shogun, Tadaima Sanjou! (One Chorus)
