Kabutack Song Collection
Kage
Introduction
A word from the reviewer:
This series is the follow-up to 1996's B-Fighter Kabuto.
Though this show itself isn't a Metal Hero show, it does
have many similar qualities of a metal hero series, including
an appearance of both B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto! Not
only that, it re-introduced the lost art of anime type characters
brought to live action! Something rarely seen since the
80s. This shows covered many gaps, but really left a hole
in the heart of the Metal Hero fan...

Review
Every CD has it's loser.
This CD is no exception. You know you've stumbled upon a
great CD when it doesn't have multiple losers. I really
don't know how they pulled this off, but all of the tracks
sound great in the order that they are presented! Nothing
is out of place, overall or number wise. A very rare occurance.
The songs on this album are upbeat and have their share
of adventure and action, even a bit of comedy thrown into
the mix. Something I really enjoy, I hope you can too! I
give this album a 4.25/5 rating!
01. Tsuyoku Tadashiku Kabutack!
>>Series opening song. Very upbeat and triumphant,
but not corny at the same time. Trying to keep pace with
the singer can only make one's head spin! Very fun song.
Really sets a good mode for this show.
02. Dai Tsuiseki!~Star
Peace o Oikakero~
>>Very confusing song! Trying to keep up with this
singer is virtually impossible at some parts. Fast and unrelenting!
Really fun, could also double as an opening song if necessary.
I guess they didn't see a need to switch mid-series. Also
note the singer's voice. To me he sounds like a very young
Ichirou Mizuki. For awhile I thought it was Mizuki himself!
Now I highly doubt this.
03. Kabutack Ondo
>>I love Ondo styled songs. Sadly, this song really
didn't live up to my expectations. Sure the singing is up
to the Ondo par, but the music really lacks! NO traditional
Japanese instruments are used at all, leaving it with a
tacky feeling. Almost as if they didn't really try on this
one. A let down to me.
04. Sabaki no Ikazuchi~Captain
Tonborg no theme
>>Funky sounding song. Great for action on the level
of this series. Nice CD placement also. Also, Akira Kushida
sings this song! This is the first time the Tokusatsu world
has heard from him since 1989's Kidou Keiji Jiban I believe.
I can see this song as a battle song, allthough it has a
little lag at some parts. Very enjoyable song.
05. B-Robo wa Bokura
no Nakama
>>Goofy sounding song. Very upbeat and triumphant.
Again, very nicely placed on this CD. This is definitely
a song that wouldn't fit in any other show. It's great when
songs are actually made closely to what they're being made
for.
06. Super Change!
Kabutack
>>Another nicely placed song. Upbeat and good for
action. One great part about this song is the yelling of
"Chaaange! Super Mode!". If you've read many of
my reviews, you'd know i'm into those sort of those parts
of songs that really get into what they're singing about.
07. Do Up!! Kabutack
>>Nicely paced, definitely keeping with the action
pulse of this CD. Nothing really stands out during the course
of this song, but it really is a treat to listen to. Reminds
me very much of the song "Super Arthur" from the
Chikyu Sentai Fiveman Song Collection for some reason.
08. Ah Star Peace
>>Every series needs
it's slow song! And who better to sing this one than Takayuki
Miyauchi, the master of soul! Not really, but he's good!
Again, this is another comeback for an artist. First time
we've seen
this guy since 1994's Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. This song
has excellent CD placement, and the beat is very jazzy and
calm. But at the same time has a very slight hint of comedy.
Great stuff.
09. Super Dream
13
>>A very Friday song!
Cheery and Punk rock-ish. This is NO better place for this
song on this CD than where it is. Not only is this song
great, but Kushida sings this song also! A super treat!
Like a good week coming to an even better ending!
10. Gyakuten Rock'n
Roll!!
>>Series ending song.
Starts of with the singer sounding...out of it to say the
least. Then it picks up! This song sounds very "Doo
wop-ish" for some reason. Also a very happy song. It's
as if it's saying "See you all next week!" Which
is all fine and dandy until the eventually message becomes
"Have a good life!". Then a great Song Collection
comes to a close.
