Ken Bycrosser (All Song
Review)
Kage
Introduction
Just like Machineman, these songs were lost in a wave of
confusion. All four songs were released on various Vinyls
throughout 1985. Early 90s, the opening and ending tracks
were released via compilation. In August 2003, all four
songs were released in a 4-Disc
compilation. The two image songs finally scored a CD release.
This is possibly a more happy ending than the Machineman
story. I give these songs 4 Ken Roaders out of 5.
CD Review
1984 saw many things. It saw Bioman, Shaider, Ultraman
Zoffy, Kamen Rider ZX and....um....Machineman? What about
1985? Changeman, Juspion and...Bycrosser? What the? Forgotten
shows need love too. With all forgotten shows come forgotten
songs. Here i'll review some of these lost wonders used
in a show with Shotaro Ishinomori's influence. So they should
be good, right?? Let's see.
01. Tatakae! Bycrosser
>>Excellent way to bring in every episode. The singer's
voice is a little weak, but the song is just so cool that
you can see past it. This song definitely beats out Changeman
for best theme song of '85.
02. Go Go Ken Roader
>>Very upbeat action song. The title could've told
you that. This song's main focus is on the Ken Roader (obviously)
but takes it a step further. The constant "Go GO!"
makes it an all around fight song. Very cool stuff. Very
80's Bass.
03. Ore to Omae
wa Bycrosser
>>Possibly more of
an action song than the previous. The bass is very similar
to that of "Go Go Ken Roader" and pretty much
any action song from "Chojinki Metalder". Very
nice way to sound cool while having a battle.
04. Sono na mo Kyodai
Ken Bycrosser
>> The only slow song of the series. Every series
needs one. It's only flaw is that it seems like the slow
little brother of the theme song. Same beat, just different
music to make it slower. The singing isn't much different
also. The song is great though!
