Fever J Complete Song Collection
Nippon Columbia - 1996 (COCC-13351)
Kage
Introduction
Entirely too short so I can't give this a super rating.
The songs that are on this album are pretty good though.
I never want to skip over any of them, which really isn't
saying much when there's six songs. Anyway, if you love
the series, by all means track this thing down! If you just
want the songs, don't rush. They'll always be here. I'll
give this 2.75 BFJ Robo's out of 5.
CD Review
01. Battle Fever
J
>>Very bubbly and disco. Great way to open a show
that was based on a Marvel Comic series! This song doubles
as a good battle song. Since most people have heard this
song, there really isn't much more to explain. I'd like
to note however, this is MoJo's first appearance in any
Tokusatsu soundtrack.
02. Yuusha ga Ike
>>Series ending song. Very deep and a complete opposite
of the opening song. I enjoy listening to this song, never
bores me. If you're looking for action, I suggest you look
elsewhere. If you love very dramatic and deep songs from
the 70s, have a listen to this song.
03. Battle Fever
Dai Shutsugeki
>>Ichirou Mizuki jumps
on the Super Sentai bandwagon! This song starts off very
sly with Koorogi '73 doing their thing. The song then changes
slightly when Ichirou Mizuki begins singing, then it gets
up to speed completely. What a cheerful song! Not an action
song, more of a victory song.
04. Battle Fever
Sanka
>>You can tell from the start that this song will
be upbeat. No surprises on this one. Very much like the
last song in where it is very upbeat and cheery, but not
an action song. Again, a victory song. I enjoy listening
to this song though.
05. Ashita no Senshitachi
>>This song is a little more dark than the last two,
but it turns out to a be a very victorious song of sorts.
A good final episode song I think (which I think this song
DID actually play for the final episode). Again, nothing
wrong with this song.
06. Bonus Track:
Battle Fever J (Alternate Version)
>>Not too much different from the original version.
They only really added a few "Fever J!" chants
to fill some gaps. Also a few new background vocals are
added. You can tell which ones were.
