Dyna (All Song Review)

Introduction
Not an actual CD, more of a custom job. These Ultraman
Dyna songs were taken from various singles and CDs and placed
in pretty much the order that they were released in. Wish
a few little changes to my liking of course. So, I can't
really put a rating on this CD. The excuse is on the table,
take it or leave it. I can say, the songs overall are nicely
done. So, it's up to you to decide whether to buy these
CDs or not. *No rating*
CD Review
01. Ultraman Dyna
>> Definitely one of the best Ultraman Opening themes
out there. Upbeat and pretty dark, which is the ideal song
for an Ultraman Opening song I believe. I especially like
the beginning of the song. Much like a story or essay even,
a song needs a great thesis. Something to get you hooked
to it. This song has it. I do recommend this song highly,
it's
not that difficult to find either.
02. Take Off! Super
Guts
>> A little bit too triumphant and nostalgic for my
liking. The whole "Wandabba" thing is silly to
me. I know some Ultraman Song fans are going to hurt me
for this, but the should really drop the Wandabba thing
alltogether. This song itself needs alot of changes for
it to really strike me as interesting.
03. Imakoso Flash!
>> Great song from
the start, almost sounds like clocks I suppose. This song
is somewhat serious throughout. It seems a bit mismatched
with the yelling of "Flash, Dyna Flash!". Then
again, it could fit very nicely. It really depends on how
you approach this song. Personally, I find nothing wrong
with this piece.
04. Miracle no Kaze
ni nare
>> Starts off a bit boring, but when the music starts
it gets interesting. After that, the song stays pretty constant.
Nothing extraordinary or great. So this song gets a "It's
just there..." reaction from me.
05. Dyna no Akai
Kagayake ni
>> Very different song! Very upbeat and full of action.
Lots of horns and great vocal work by Shinichi Ishihara.
This song suits the title quite nicely as it's also very
shiney in that musical sort of way. Cool song.
06. Everybody Wants
Love
>> Dare I say? The best Ultraman Dyna song! Lazy is
back! Storming in with this Ultraman Dyna two-song single.
This song is extremely Rock and Roll. Thats what I love
Lazy for. Hironobu Kageyama gets into this song which makes
it all the better! I guess he's just happy to be back with
the boys since they broke up circa 1982. This song provides
the let-loose' attitude that every Tokusatsu soundtrack
should have. I do have my doubts that this song really has
anything to do with Dyna. It just happened to be the second
track on the "Ultra High!" single.
07. Love & Peace
>> Funky little song. Not much at all in the way of
action. Not upbeat, it's just a melody. By no means is this
a slow song either. It's a happy song. There's no other
way to describe it. It's cute. There, thats how it can be
summed up I suppose.
08. Kimidake wo
Mamoritai
>> First series ending song. It's not very upbeat,
more serious than anything. I enjoy this song for what it
is. Has a nice beat and such. Is this song fitting for an
ending song? Yes and no. It doesn't say "See you next
time", but it does leave you humming the tune. Which
is pretty important. Note the quiet yelling of "Shoowat!"
toward the end of the song.
09. Ultra High!
>> Second ending song. Again, Lazy does an excellent
job with energy and all that. A much better ending song
than "Kimidake wo Mamoritai" in my opinion. More
power! Better song. Very catchy beat not to mention. I always
enjoy listening to this song.
10. Ultraman Dyna
(Alternate)
>> Much different from the original with music and
such. Same beat and all, but this song is no minor variation.
I really wonder what it's purpose is. It's not exactly a
cover song, for Masaki Endo still sings it. Many mysteries
surround this version.
11. Kimidake wo
Mamoritai (Alternate)
>> Another version of the first ending song. Done
by a band called The Alfee. This song's actual title is
"Save your heart" as you can imagine by the chanting
at the end. This is a strange version. I'm not quite sure
if it's a cover or not. The music is basically the same,
few differences. The whole end of the song is extended and
such, making this version slightly longer than the original.
The beginning is pretty different also.
