Yes Destiny episode one was very intense, starting at a point half weay through seed and showing our new heroes tragic background, they present us with one of the single most violent moments ever in gundam. The series flows well despite the tired out method of the bad guys getting thier gundams, but at least this time our Hero pilot was the actuall pilot selected and trained for the gundam! Also apparently Raw La Cruez is back! I watch that punk die!!! stay dead!!!

And all the old heroes return! I don't care what the nay sayers say, I'm liking it so-far.

Even though I don't like SEED, I started to download this episode, but after having it be 48% complete with 16 hours still to go, I said screw it and deleted it.

Poor Kain, it took me 20 minutes to download it. Haven't watched it yet though. I've only seen the first three episodes of SEED, butchered on Cartoon Network, so I seriously doubt I'll have any idea what's going on. But I've heard good things about this episode, so I'm gonna give it a go.

Not sure why, but I downloaded this episode, and wow, it was certainly so much better than the 25 episodes of SEED I have seen so far. Unfortunately it doesn't look like anything was resolved between ZAFT and O-bu.

Now this is mobile suit action. This is what SEED should have been in the first place. I just keep wondering if Cagalli and that blonde girl are ever going to get switched since they look the same. My only complaint is having that black haired kid run into the blonde girl is going to be just like Athrun's and Kira's relationship in SEED.

These are the characters I did not see on the credits, ending, or preview (no, Zechs Aznable was still there, and he even had a helmet that looked more like Zech's):

I'm pretty sure I saw the brown haired lady in the credits, and I saw the other 3 ZAFT pilots, so obviously non Gundam pilot dies in SEED (didn't people complain about that in GW?) .

I was happy to see Lacus in the credits, so I hope shows up soon since sheis the only character I liked.

Well I ended up downloading a subbed copy of the first episode after downloading the raw. Anyway, I like it a lot. Now I just need to watch SEED, so that I may have a better understanding of Destiny.

Well I consider altering anothers work as butchering, no matter how miniscule the change. Sometimes it's for the best, but in this case there was no reason for it. The show aired at 10:30 at night. No child should be up that late.

Ya there was no need to edit SEED really. So far so good Destiny looks awesome and incredibly promising a lot better than SEED. Í'm glad it's not all available now I would just have to lock myself up and watch every episode in a marathon.

A-k and AONE just released there version of destiny. seems to be higher quality then the last one released

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not attacking you or your beliefs, is just that it just irks me to the ninth degree when people scream butcher this and they're destroying that. Cartoon Network must adhere to the rules that the FCC give them on the certain shows with the TV-Y7 rating. The show is not on Adult Swim, its on toonami, no matter what time it is, it is still a show on a channel called Cartoon Network.

Why not put it on AS? Well it doesn't need to be on AS, as somebody said so themselves, the edit are miniscule at best, putting this on AS will just take away one more timeslot to another show that needs to be on AS like GITS.

No matter what people say, I love Cartoon Network, they're doing best they can out there putting out shows with little to no edit as possible. They're treating their anime properties with respect, unlike Disney or Fox and like I said before it just annoys me a little bit when people attack their intergrity by saying "Oh they butcher this anime", it just gives Cartoon Network a bad reputation which they don't deserve.

But people have their own opinion and I'm certaintly not going to tell them they're wrong. Also I do agree about any censoring to another's work is butchering if they don't have any good reason for it (hello Miramax) but not in this case, Cartoon Network have to do what they have to do. Everybody must follow rules, CN is no exception....

I finally downloaded the 2nd episode (skipped episode 1, due to laziness). It's only episode 2 but Destiny has gotten better than Seed. The battles were very interesting, especially Impulse VS 3 stolen Gundam. The Gundams are nicely designed, I like Sword Impulse and it's powerful swords. To my surprise, Sting called Impulse a Gundam!!!! I thought only Kira called his MS Gundam. So far the story and battles were well done, however I found Destiny lacked of character development. We knew nothing of Shinn except his family was killed by Freedom...hope his character will develop soon....

Joke, but yeah Gundam almost never fails to dissapoint on character development with the exception of one horrific blunder *cough* Wing *cough*

As it stand we know almost nothing of the overall plot. But if thats Fraga under that mask I'm gonna fly to Japan and Kill someone!

Also Seed wouldn't be able to get away uncut even on Adult swim, in the later episodes there are scenes which literally feature MS pilots Exploding showing guts bones, blood and all. The show gets very graphic in it's later Episodes and would not cut it on American television in any time slot.

i'm very dissapoint with seed destiny that the plot is just copying the plot of Zeta Gundam. Sunrise might already lose idea to make a fresh gundam concept

Oh yeah, speaking of Gundam is Turn A still going to be subbed by Hero Legends? All I've seen recently are "impossible to download due to file size" Gundam X episodes.

I've just downloaded episode 1 of Gundam Seed Destiny, and what can I say? Awesome!!!! Much better than Gundam Wing (the only series which I know aired in the UK :P).

Although I'm kinda new to the world of Gundam Seed (in fact, I'm new to almost everything Gundam), so I just want to know one thing.. Because this is called is called Gundam Seed Destiny, does this mean Gundam Seed is it's prequel? Just Curious, remember that I'm "new" to this stuff OK?

Also, is the original Gundam Seed worth watching?
