What
is this website all about?
This site is for fans of Japan's
classic/modern super robots, tokusatsu, sentai, and japanese
video games. We will also make sure to cover any other subjects
that may related to the ones previously listed.
What is Tokusatsu?
Tokusatsu is used as the term
to describe Japanese live action shows that use special efects.
Usually the term is most associated with fantasy and sci-fi
productions.
What is Super Sentai?
Super Sentai (roughly translates
as taskforce) is a sub-genre of tokusatsu. Esentially it refers
to TOEI's 5 multi-colored hero shows, starting from Go Ranger
in 1975 and all the way up to their latest program Bakuryuu
Sentai Aba Ranger. The term Super Sentai is exclusive to TOEI's
programs and is not used to describe other similar fare like
TOHO's Ban Kid or other programs like Ninja Captor.
What are Metal Heroes?
Metal Heroes is a sub-genre of
Tokusatsu used to refer to a series of programs made by TOEI
from 1983 to 1997. These programs usually featured armored
humans, cyborgs and/or androids. Another common name used
to refer to these shows is "Rescue Hero." This term
was more commonly used to refer to the Metal Hero shows made
between 1990-1994.

Is this something that I'm
going to have to pay for or contribute to with money?
No, this site was created and
designed to be a database for fans & collectors of classic
Japanese Sci-Fi. We want to help you find information, were
not here to make a profit. Donations are always welcome though
^-^
How can you be a non-profit
site if you have that banner on your page?
We are in no way profiting monetarily
from the banner that is currently on the site. Henshin Video
is the source from which we obtain rare Japanese hero videos
and as such we want to help promote their excellent services
and amazing video library.

using pictures that are original to this site.

the site on a daily basis (or as often as possible) with new
reviews, media, etc. Please your eye on our update bar on
the right side of the screen, it will keep you posted as to
what is new and what's coming up.
Is this going to be another
one of those sites that disappears overnight?
No. We are making sure this site
has the backing it needs to keep it going for a very long
time because we don't want it to suffer the same fate as many
other great websites.
