Shihomi was the first female recruit for Chiba Shinichi’s elite stuntmen organization, ”JAC” (Japan Action Club now Japan Action Enterprise).

In 1975 Shihomi came out with the title single for the Toei movie “Wakai Kizoku Tachi –13 Dan No Maki” (Gangs of Youth – The Thirteen Steps).

Software game manufacturer CAPCOM’s “Street Fighter” character Chun-Li bears a striking resemblance to Shihomi’s “Onna Hissatsu Ken” character.

Was married for a number of years to Japanese Folk Singer Nakabuchi Tsuyoshi. They later divorced after Nakabuchi was caught in an affair with another actress.
